Why Study the CMB?


Physics during the plasma phase (first 300,000 years) was very simple.

For given conditions at a tiny fraction of a second we can confidently calculate what kind of pattern the CMB should make.

So by measuring the pattern we can find out what the Universe is made out of and its history and fate!
